EDM music has no more soul.

Never really was a huge fan, but I still recognized it’s multiple evolutions within these past couple years.

EDM music has gotten way too cheesy. Played out trance kicks and synthesizers, played out vocal hooks, and a drop. I’m being completely 100% honest when I say that all this type of music sounds exactly the same to me. Someone could play 10 EDM songs by 10 different artists and I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. I think what’s scarier is that more and more people are craving for this type of music nowadays. Radio stations, clubs, commercials all fall for this cornball excuse for dance music. This whole scene has become trendy, overly saturated, and too predictable.

I don’t know how y’all do it.

I know it’s all in good fun, and in the end no ones doing any harm, but I can’t stand it when the homies call me DJ Agana or have to introduce me to someone else as that. It puts me on a pedestal that I don’t even like being on. And not only that, they gotta follow it up with some bullshit “YEAAAH HE’S A FAMOUS DJ”/”HE’S TUMBLR FAMOUS” Come the fuck on son. Don’t put me in a box like that. I’m still the same homie you know personally. Quit.

It’s something so little, but after a while it builds up inside. I try not to let it show when it happens because honestly it’s nothing worth to kill the vibe over with at that moment, but cot dayum people needa stop with that soon or else I might go bad on someone one time.

If I were to give any sort of life advice, it’d be to take advantage of letting people know how you actually feel about shit.

By some weird reason, some of us are socially constructed into thinking that how we genuinely feel about someone or a situation is wrong. Don’t suppress feelings man, it’ll eat you up. If someone did you real wrong, get mad at them. If you don’t like the way someone’s been treating you, fucking say something. And most importantly, if you’re really into someone, let them know.

I made a promise to myself way back to never suppress my feelings for the sake of avoiding confrontation and/or rejection. Life works out better that way in the long run.
